Saguaro Nieto- Canvas

This painting was inspired by the work of John Nieto who joined Madaras Gallery as a guest artist this year.I like the bold blocks of colors that Nieto uses in his work, and outlining the various elements in the painting was great fun. I chose a subject that I paint a lot, and then used some of Nieto's techniques. They say art begets art, which I believe is very true. We all get inspiration from each other. This was the first painting in my "Masters Series.”­­
