Arizona Rose- Canvas

Arizona Rose- An incredible prickly pear in bloom!  I like the very soft background and the delicate petals in contrast to the razor sharp cactus needles. This “miniature” took just as long to paint as a large canvas because of the multiple blooms and intricacies of the petals’ folds. It is the first in a series called Desert Flowers.
