A note from the artist, Mary Leslie- "These owls were from photos taken at Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge (California) among a community of Burrowing Owls. It’s a collage of different photos. I just LOVE these little owls and how animated and curious they are. Always poking out of their underground dwellings and tilting their heads or turning them completely upside down to get a better look."
