Sunflowers at the Villa-I have a vivid memory of painting this watercolor. My mom was visiting and watched me paint this. I worked quickly as this was the last painting I completed for my Annual Show in 2009 which was only one week away. I had just moved into a new house and did not have a painting studio yet, so was working on a table set up in the living room. Some paintings are difficult and require a lot of adjusting and tweaking. This one just flowed and has that wonderful loose watercolor feeling that only comes from working with this illusive medium.
