Tuna - “Tuna” is another word for prickly pear fruit. This is a watercolor on Yupo paper using a stamping technique into wet paint--a technique similar to the one used to make the Spirit Animal paintings. I like the unexpected color mixing that occurs on this very slick and non-absorptive paper, but, at the same time, it presents unique challenges as the paint has a mind of its own. Watercolor on Yupo is the most difficult medium to control.
