Wings Over San Xavier- Matted Print

High-quality print of Madaras painting on paper. Includes mat and fits standard frame sizes. The full dimensions for our matted prints are 11”x14” and 16”x20” and fit standard frames. The interior opening dimensions are 6.25x8.5” (for 11x14”) or 9.5x13” (for 16 x 20”).

Wings Over San Xavier - This is the third painting in the “Enchanted Horse” series. The first was painted for TROT’s 50th anniversary (Therapeutic Riding of Tucson) and was titled Golden Horse. The second was inspired by Gustav’s Klimt’s painting of Adele Bloch-Bauer in1908 and was titled Horse Klimt. This one is a tribute to the beautifully restored sanctuary at San Xavier Mission that I visited in March. As I studied the intricate patterns of the sanctuary walls, I was taken by the angel suspended to the left of the altar and took a series of photos. Back in my studio, the photo of the angel serendipitously fell on the floor next to the Golden Horse canvas. It struck me that the beautiful horse could transport the angel across the heavens, adorned in the designs found on the Mission walls. Thus, Wings Over San Xavier came into being.
